Our prince turns one!

At first we didn’t really decide if we wanted to have a birthday party for Zal. For some reasons:

1. We don’t have that many friends in our clique

2. Will it be worth it? Since he’s only 1 and won’t remember anything, anyway.

But eventually, we caved in cause we really wanted to do something special for his 1st birthday. Of course, this kind of thing won’t be done every year. We will have it again once he understands the meaning of a birthday. For now, this party is partly for us. It’s for me, actually 😀

I never really planned to have my baby having a (quite close) birthday with me. But I am pretty happy cause it means easier to have parties later in the future 😀 It’s like killing birds with two stones, haha!

However, since February 12th fell on the weekday, we can’t really have the party on the day itself. And since it was also quite near with Chinese New Year holiday, most of our friends were not in Singapore. So we decided to hold Zal’s birthday party at the end of February.

But of course, being a Mom, I wanted to have something to celebrate on the date itself. I bought a small cake (which was eaten by us except Zal himself, lol) and Husband bought a present.

“What’s that Mama have in hand?”

“Why are we singing a song in front of a cake?”

“Birthday cake? Who’s having a birthday??”

“Why is Papa blowing air towards that small thing??”

The only (good) family picture that night, lol.

Present time!

“I better unwrap this fast!”

“Faster, faster!”

“Ohhhh, a turtle!”

“Hello, Mr. Turtle. Why do you have so many buttons on your back?”

Ending the post with an unglam picture of the birthday boy. Haha. He was so tired by the end of the night.

Happy birthday, my prince 🙂 Mama and Papa love you, to infinity and beyond!
